INCA launch: Rohit Shetty raises laughs: “Award aur mera duur duur tak koi rishta nahin hai. I have directed 17 films. But award mein sirf hosting ke liye jaata hoon!”

As expected, mass filmmaker Rohit Shetty made some headline worthy comments and also raised laughs.

During the Q-and-A session with the media, a journalist asked a question to Rohit Shetty INCA launch: Rohit.. The Singham (2011) director came forward on hearing his name and smiled. He joked, “I was standing at the back INCA launch: Rohit.. I thought no one would ask me any questions. Kyunki award aur mera duur duur tak koi rishta-naata nahin hai (laughs). I have directed 17 films. But award mein sirf hosting ke liye jaata hoon. ”
He then said on a serious note, “Ever since cinema has begun, the production house down South has made films in Hindi INCA launch: Rohit.. Even its directors have made Bollywood movies INCA launch: Rohit.. Hindi films have been remade in South as well. It’s just that now these things become very controversial that ‘arre aapne woh film remake kar di’. But the fact that this has been happening since the 50s. L V Prasad sir was such a big director; he made so many Hindi films. So many films of Amitabh Bachchan from the 70s and other films continue to be remade. Recently, there have been remakes of 3 Idiots (2009), Kahaani (2012), Queen (2014), etc. Similarly, we also remake their films. ”
He continued, “We all should celebrate cinema now. The world is shrinking because of social media INCA launch: Rohit.. Har ek state ka baccha jaanta hai ki yeh kaun hero hai ya yeh kaunse film industry se hai. Hence, why don’t we all come together now and create something (on those lines). The idea is that when we get recognized in the world, someone from outside should not ask, ‘Which state does this person or film belong to. ’. Instead, he should only be informed of the fact that ‘Yeh Indian actor hai ya yeh Indian film hai ya yeh Indian producer hai’. ”
